Over thirteen years of experience in color and cutting has earned Maureen Scafuri an accomplished reputation as one of Orange County’s premier stylists. Educated at the international icon of hair, Toni & Guy North America, Maureen has worked with numerous top stylists and salons. After her 2001 graduation, she launched her career to establishing strong clientele and an art to precision cutting and coloring.
Maureen is recognized as one of Orange County’s most esteemed stylists. With such talents and creative vision, opening her own salon was the next step. Maureen’s expert technique and the understanding of clients needs is Brush’s spectacular example of success.

Bernadette Rueda Scord
Creative and Artistic Director of Brush Salon.
Bernadette graduated from the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California. Her love of style and beauty began early as her special talents materialized and were recognized. With her remarkable passion for hair, she not only became an educator for the industry’s leader Toni & Guy North America, but soon thereafter was promoted to Senior Artistic Director. Bernadette has been influential in the world of beauty. She loves working as a Stylist in the Salon as well as teaching. She strives for perfection when she is cutting or coloring hair, and is always dedicated to truly satisfying her clients needs. She aspires and loves to make people look and feel their absolute best.
Mary Kasa

Working as a successful colorist and stylist for over twenty years, Mary thrives on perfecting her art through new education, progressive techniques and the ability to integrate fashion with color. Whether it is working on a photo shoot, fashion show, training seminar or being one-on-one with her client, she is constantly inspired by the creativity of this heartfelt community and honored to be a part of the Hair and Fashion industry.
Mary is deeply committed to each individual client and is grounded in her dedication to give you the style and look that you have always desired. Carly Forsse

Carly, a Southern California native is the go-to for cut and color. After graduating from San Clemente High School in 1999 she pursued her passion for style and creativity by continuing her education in styling. By assisting in a salon in Dana Point, she perfected her craft of hairdressing. She has been trained extensively in all methodology of cutting and color.
Carly is dedicated to the changing needs of her clients. She enjoys the relationships and she has built with her clientele and co-workers at Brush salon. Carly is constantly updating her skills by continuing her education. The freedom of the business allows her spend quality time with her family, especially her daughter.

Barry Wolvin
Stylist at Brush Salon.
Barry has been in the salon industry for over twenty years as a color specialist and stylist. He is a former salon owner and educator for Logics/Matrix. When you’re in Barry’s chair you will experience a cut, color and style from a creative master.
He believes in giving back to the community when ever possible with his services, some of his favorite charities are “Kathy’s House” a shelter for woman, and “Village of Hope” a drug rehabilitation center for families and individuals, and many more too numerous to mention.
He enjoys traveling with his Bride of six years, when not behind the chair.

Vanessa Spigner

Vanessa has over ten years experience in hair design. After receiving extensive training under the world renown senior colorist at Jose Eber Salon in Beverly Hills, she moved onto the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica. At the Academy, she was able to train and excel at advanced techniques of cutting developed by celebrity stylists. Vanessa’s talent shows through her work and passion for artistic style.
Vanessa’s skills make her an intuitive stylist and a client favorite.
Jeanette Beadle

Jeanette trained with an Sassoon stylist and received her education from the renowned Toni and Guy, North America. Her expertise is in cutting and color. She has worked extensively in the fashion industry along with artistry in makeup. She has extensive knowledge and experience with the application of MAC makeup. Jeanette enjoys transforming her clients hair styles and overall beauty from head to toe.
Melissa Colgan
Stylist at Brush Salon.
Melissa began her styling career over six years ago. Not only did she graduate top of her class from Simi Valley school of Cosmetology, but she is Brush’s favorite trend’s stylist.
Melissa specializes in cuts and color. She loves bringing out the beauty in her clients.
Vera Abdelmessih
Stylist at Brush Salon.
Vera graduated from Paul Mitchell the academy over 8 years ago. From there she worked with Toni & Guy for 4 years. She took advanced training in precision cutting especially in men’s cutting, custom coloring, and is trained and certified in lash extensions. Vera is a perfectionist and truly enjoys making clients feel comfortable and look great. Her number one motto “always listen to what the clients want.”
Marie Sears
Stylist / Make-Up / Hair Extension Specialist
Through her passion, skills and attention to detail, Marie takes great care when listening to her clients wants and needs, insuring that they leave looking and feeling their best. Marie specializes in color and cutting as well as updo styles and makeup for special events. Marie is Master Certified in Hair Extensions, trained to do several different application techniques specific to fit the clients hair type and lifestyle. Marie herself struggled for years with fine hair until she added hair extensions to fill in her areas that are especially fine. She points out that hair extensions aren’t just for the younger crowd who want to add length but can be a confidence boost for someone, young or old struggling with fine or thinning hair. She is also trained and certified in Eyelash Extensions as well as being trained and certified in the Keratin Complex Smoothing Treatment. Marie loves being creative and is dedicated to continous education.

Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist
A native of Scottsdale, AZ, Deanna has over 15 years experience as a successful hair Stylist and Make-up artist. Whether it is cut and coloring one of her clients in the salon, making one of her brides looking her best for her wedding day or styling models for a photo shoot, she is always creating the latest fashions in make-up style and Hair design.
Deanna has studied extensively with MAC Cosmetics, Toni and Guy Academy and Paul Mitchell. She believes that by understanding every client’s individual needs and desires, she is able to create the best overall style for the everyday professional or an important evening event. Her passion for beauty and perfection of her craft has made her one of the most sought after stylists in the industry.
AnnRae Novak
Board Certified Esthetician at Brush Salon.
Ann Rae specializes in medical-grade skin care techniques to improve your self-esteem and confidence. Ann Rae’s five year service to the San Juan Capistrano location has earned her a loyal following. Her customized individual treatments and exceptional results has made her the “sought-out” skin care expert of Orange County.
Her treatment experience and education includes: Acne Care, Physicians Strength Glycolic Peels; Dermaplaning; Vitalize Peels; B-Lift Peels; and Microdermabrasion.
